NORTH PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Artisans involved in the production of limited-run and custom ceramic tiles will be showcased in an all-new “Avenue Of The Artisans” at the Coverings 2002 tile and stone exposition in Orlando, Fla., May 6-9.

“This special section of the show will group artisans with revenues under $250,000 per year together in a more effective and cost efficient manner,” said Bob Daniels, chairman of the Coverings 2002 board of governors. “We have always found these types of artisans to be a great source of innovative design. We thought it was important that we find a way that these smaller operations, with limited financial resources, could be included.”

Coverings’ new “Artisan Package” provides each participant with a turn-key decorating package which will include an 8-foot-high back drape and side curtains, a 6-foot draped display table, two chairs, carpeting and an identification sign. Exhibits are limited to tabletop or easel mounted displays, with sample panels not exceeding 72-by-36 inches. No freestanding displays will be permitted. The package price for participation in the four-day show is $750.

Coverings will also offer a smaller version of the popular Meeting Room Suites in Orlando. Meeting Room Suite participants traditionally are interested in limiting the public display of their products, meeting with clients by appointment only.

The new smaller meeting rooms will be approximately 10-by-10 feet and include three chairs, two 6-foot draped tables, carpet and an exterior identification sign. The price for this suite is $950 inclusive.
