BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. -- Abbey Carpet Co. has offered to acquire the Shingle Springs, Calif.-based Floors To Go retail flooring franchise. The offer, which was agreed to in principle by both parties, will allow Abbey to absorb the 140-member nationwide franchise through a 100 percent stock transaction which is expected to close June 30.
Phillip Gutierrez, Abbey chairman and CEO, said the deal will enhance his company's capabilities and provide Floor To Go members with new merchandising, marketing, advertising, and related support programs.
