BHK adds tiles to Moderna line
BHK of America has added a tile format to its Moderna Glueless Laminate Flooring product line. The new BHK Flooring Tiles are available in four colors.
Shaw augments Decades collection
Shaw Hard Surfaces has added Natural Grande, a glue-down laminate product, to its Decades Laminate series. Natural Grande features seven colors styled to imitate the look of natural stone tile. The line is available in 16-by-47-inch laminate planks.
Faus earns patent
Faus Group Inc. recently earned a patent from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for the Embossed-in-Register laminate flooring technology the company developed. The technology brings the look and feel of natural wood, ceramic and stone to laminate flooring products, Faus says. The patent also covers the company's JointGuard technology, which protects the joints of the laminate floor tiles.
Armstrong releases Nature's Gallery
Armstrong Laminate Floors has released its Nature's Gallery collection of glueless, locking-laminate flooring styled to emulate wood and stone. The line is available in 12-inch-wide planks and includes styles such as Frederick Cherry, Slate and Fume. The floors will be available through retailers nationwide before the end of spring.
Nature's Gallery is offered with the ArmaLock Installation System, which features a glueless locking profile.
Quick Step line offers new 'perspective'
Unilin Decor n.v. has released Quick Step Uniclic Perspective long planks, a new laminate product styled to imitate the appearance of wood. Perspective planks measure 54?-by-6 1/6-inches and are 3/8-inches thick.
The Quick Step long planks are available in 10 designs, including harvest oak, natural varnished cherry and steamed beech. The planks can be installed without glue. Quick Step laminate flooring is protected by a 25-year wear resistance warranty.
Alloc develops commercial line
Alloc Inc. has developed a line of glueless commercial laminate flooring. Alloc Commercial Flooring features an aluminum joint that requires no glue. According to the company, the flooring can be installed in 70% less time than traditional glued products.Alloc Commercial comes with a 10-year warranty that covers joint integrity, stain resistance, fade resistance, and wear through. The product is made with a high-pressure laminate surface, an Aqua resist HDF core and HPL backing. The edges are sealed using a wax impregnation system designed to provide moisture resistance.
Available in 12 designs, the commercial laminate line was developed for use in various commercial applications including retail outlets, beauty salons, healthcare facilities, assisted-living centers, hotels, restaurants, corporate offices, and educational institutions.
Witex debuts laminate tiles
Witex USA Inc. recently launched its glueless Casa Collection of laminate flooring tile. The 16-by-16-inch Casa Collection tiles -- which are styled to resemble resilient, ceramic and slate flooring -- come with the AquaProtect coreboard which, the company says, reduces the product's absorption of moisture.

Wilsonart expands DuoLink line
Wilsonart Flooring has introduced six new plank designs for its DuoLink glueless laminate floor collection. The new designs include Dunkerton Maple, Manchester Maple, Ellerslie Oak, Berwick Oak, Chadwick Oak, and Glenmont Cherry.
The laminate flooring features the company's Tap-N-Lock technology and carries a 15-year warranty against wear, fade, stain, and water damage.
Mohawk's Paramount sounds like wood
Mohawk Paramount is a new 12-millimeter-thick laminate floor line with a foot traffic sound that mimics hardwood, the company says. Paramount features the GuardianShield finishe and Mohawk's DuraLoc Plus -- a glueless horizontal locking system that virtually eliminates seams.
Sound Inhibitor underlayment is attached to the planks in this laminate line. Paramount also features WaterGuard 6, a high-density fiberboard substrate that limits moisture absorption to 6%. Paramount is available in Oak, Maple, Hickory, Rustic Pine, Brazilian Cherry, Beech, Ash, and Walnut.
Poliface intros five new laminate products
Poliface has introduced Poliface Marine, Poliface Excel, Poliface Excel Grande, Poliface Home, and Poliface Home Grande. Poliface Home and Poliface Home Grande feature a glueless "click" system called Inloc.
The Poliface Excel and Poliface Excel Grande collections are commercial-grade product lines that incorporate a eucalyptus hardboard core designed for maximum impact resistance. Poliface Marine is an AC-5-rated laminate flooring product that is completely waterproof, the company says, and is designed to install over concrete and wood.
Classen adds three lines
Classen USA recently expanded its product selection with an additional three laminate lines. The Authentic Plus Collection is available in three finishes -- Natural Oak, Natural Cherry and Clear Maple -- and five striated wood grain textures -- Victoria Oak, Sacramento Pine, Mediterranean Cypress, Schaffer Oak, and Prestige Oak.Patterns in the clear-finished Park Avenue Collection include Gunstock Oak, Hard Maple, Steamed Beech, Elm, Mountain Cherry, Red Oak, Mediterranean Cypress, and Schaffer Oak.
The Sculpture Tile Collection is a ceramic tile laminate plank collection available in eight patterns.
