Freudenberg floor takes StarNet Design Award
A Winning Effort -- This operating suite in the Dr. Denton Cooley Tower, which features noraplan mega rubber flooring, was a double winner in the 2001 StarNet Design Awards.
Freudenberg Building Systems' noraplan mega rubber floor collection was the resilient floor covering chosen by Texan Floor Service, the installer of an entry that won the StarNet Design Awards' Healthcare Crystal Prize and 2001 Grand Prize.
The winning project, which was planned by RTKL and designed by Morris Architects, made use of noraplan mega in operating suites and corridors in healthcare offices within the Dr. Denton Cooley Tower, part of the Texas Heart Institute in Houston.
Judging criteria for the StarNet Awards include the creative use of design, and how well the installation meets the client's objectives and special challenges.
