Michael Megonigal of Megonigal Flooring in Aston, Pa. was the winner in the resilient category.
The World Floor Covering Association (WFCA) recently conducted it 2001 Regional Installation Contest in Salem, N.J. National Floor Trends and Floor Covering Installer magazines co-sponsored the event.
The competition included a written exam, repair work and a hands-on project. Each regional winner qualifies to compete in the WFCA National Installation Contest scheduled for Jan. 30- Feb. 1, 2002 during the annual Surfaces expo in Las Vegas.
Upcoming regional contests in the carpet and resilient categories will take place Oct. 12-13 in Phoenix, Nov. 9-10 in Sacramento, Calif. and Nov. 16-17 in Portland, Ore. Additional information may be obtained by contacting Jon Namba, WFCA coordinator, at (800) 624-6880.
