FARNHAM, Quebec -- Jan Lembregts has been appointed president of the Domco Tarkett Resilient Division. He replaces John Gallo who retired in July.

In his new post, Lembregts supervises all resilient functions including manufacturing, research and development, quality assurance, and product management. Rolf Basler, who had been serving as interim president of the division following Gallo’s departure, will remain with the company through December to assure a smooth transition and assist Lembregts as he familiarizes himself with the Domco Tarkett operations.

Prior to joining Domco Tarkett, Lembregts had been president of Beaulieu Canada, a position he assumed in 1998 following Beaulieu’s acquisition of Peerless Carpet Corp. and the subsequent merger of Peerless with Coronet Carpets and Beaulieu of Canada. He began his career in 1990 as exports director for Coronet Industries in Dalton, Ga., where he created and managed an export program that ultimately sold to more than 30 countries around the world. In 1992, he was named manager of business development for Europe and Asia for Beaulieu Group. He was named in 1993 president of Coronet Carpets Inc./Beaulieu of Canada Inc., both fully-owned by Beaulieu and based in Farnham.

“This move to Domco Tarkett is a great opportunity for me to be part of a world-class hard surface flooring manufacturer,” said Lembregts. “It will be exciting for me to learn more about the flooring market from a different perspective.”
