Dow Latex Ups Prices on Products for the Carpet Industry

Continuing the trend of prices increases hitting the flooring business, Dow Latex said it is increasing prices of all latex products sold into the carpet industry by US $0.05 per pound (dry). The increase takes effect April 1. While the company's announcement did not specify a reason for the price hike, the move follows a series of increases announced by other companies in the flooring business. In those instances companies attributed the increase to a scarcity of raw materials used in the manufacturer of flooring products.
