To further support the mission of the Floor Covering Industry Foundation (FCIF), Surfaces and Hanley Wood will donate $100,000 to that organization over the next five years.

FCIF financially assists floor covering industry personnel who face catastrophic illness and extreme financial hardship. The foundation was created to focus the attention and resources of the floor covering industry on the health, human service and welfare needs of industry colleagues.

"We're delighted that Hanley Wood sees the value in giving back in such a meaningful way to an industry they have become a key part of," said Chris Davis, FCIF president and CEO of the World Floor Covering Association (WFCA), which is the official Surfaces sponsor and now handles the management of FCIF's day-to-day operations.

"It is both a pleasure and a privilege for Hanley Wood to participate in the Foundation in this manner," added Galen Poss, president of Hanley Wood Exhibitions. "As an ongoing partner, we are committed to the long-term health and success of the floor covering industry and the professionals who serve it. The importance of the work being done by the FCIF cannot be overstated."

Since its founding, FCIF has given more than $1.5 million to help those in need. Beneficiaries include retailers, installers, retail salespeople, distributor personnel, mill employees, and executives. The foundation is governed by a board of directors that represents all sectors of the industry.
