The National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) is accepting entries for its 2004 Floor of the Year Contest. This year's competition will yield 11 awards, which will be presented during the NWFA's Annual Convention to be held in Charlotte, N.C., April 14-17.

NWFA members will select winners in nine categories, including Best Manufacturer Finish, Best Job Site Finish, Best Use of Wood Technology, Best Limited Species, Best Commercial Application, Best Showroom, Best Residential Application, Floor of the Year Expert Division, and Floor of the Year Master Division. These categories will be judged on the degree of difficulty and the quality of the installation. Voting will occur on-line prior to convention for all NWFA members, as well as on-site for NWFA members attending convention.

Members of the American Society of Interior Designers will be casting votes in two categories: Designer's Choice Expert Division and Designer's Choice Master Division. These categories will be judged on the appearance and compatibility of the flooring with other room design elements.

The deadline for this year's contest is Feb. 6. The contest is limited to NWFA members only.
