Arroyo Grande, Calif.-based Floor Connection Inc. has been accepted as a member of the StarNet Commercial Flooring Cooperative.

"The concept of networking with flooring experts who possess extensive knowledge of the industry is what drew us to this organization," said Jim Motter, Floor Connection owner. "We now have the benefit of obtaining and sharing advice on projects, and communicating past experiences, including problems encountered and solutions used. I'm confident that we'll gain a great deal of insight from the StarNet community."

Family owned and operated, Floor Connection was founded in June of 1979. With 10 in-house employees and a number of skilled sub-contractors, the company specializes in commercial education and public work facilities.

StarNet maintains strict qualifications for membership. Candidates must meet a rigorous set of criteria, which includes a financial check, a history of good business practice and quality installations, and an unrivaled reputation for professionalism and service in the markets they serve.

In 1992, a number of independent commercial flooring dealers recognized that their resources could be leveraged through a national network that combined their individual capabilities. This basic concept grew into the StarNet Commercial Flooring Cooperative, which today has a membership of more than 100 independent contractors doing business in 160 of the top markets across the country.
