Mary Docker to launch Halo at Surfaces. Promises over 100 designs and "something different."

Eight months after retiring from her post as CEO of Amtico Co. Ltd.'s U.S. subsidiary, Amtico USA, Mary Docker has announced the launch of a new venture, Halo Floors. The Atlanta-based company, which is set to debut at Surfaces 2005, plans to offer a line of architectural resilient flooring aimed primary at the commercial marketplace.

Docker said the more than 100 designs offered by the company will reflect the expertise she developed in her 18 years in business. "Once I knew what I wanted, I searched the world for a manufacturer that would make the product," said Docker who noted that she found "the right fit on the island of Formosa."

Docker said the designs will encompass wood and stone visuals along with a line of specialty products that will offer "something different." The tiles included will be 1/8" thick will meet ASTM and ADA standards and offer a 15 year wear warranty.

The line will be released at Surfaces, booth #6375, Jan. 26-28, 2005.
