The New Brighton, Minn.-based Hanks Specialties distributorship has moved into a new 110,000-square-foot distribution center located at 2050 Old Highway 8, about one-half mile north of the old distribution facility.
“We’ve been looking around for several years for a facility in the same general location,” said Randy Grachek, company president. “We started working on it almost a year ago.”
The company’s previous distribution center, at 1471 First Ave. NW, encompassed 53,000 square feet of space. The new center -- which includes office, showroom and warehouse space -- gives Hanks Specialties an additional 57,000 square feet over the old one, according to Grachek.
