The StarNet Commercial Flooring Cooperative will host a speaker series entitled, "Mix -- The Concrete Truth about Concrete Moisture," in 11 markets throughout the United States during September and October.

The series, which is sponsored by Ardex Engineered Cements, Armstrong, Mohawk Carpet, and Nora Rubber Flooring, will address how to avoid commercial flooring failures due to moisture in concrete. Peter Craig, an independent concrete floor consultant with the firm Concrete Constructives, and Scott Tarr, senior evaluation engineer for Skokie, Ill.-nbased Construction Technology Laboratories Inc., will conduct each two-hour presentation.

Sessions will take place Tuesday, Sept. 21, at the Radison Huntley Hotel in Santa Monica, Calif.; Wednesday, Sept. 22, at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Phoenix; Thursday, Sept. 23, at Hotel Zaza in Dallas; Tuesday, Sept. 28, at the Sheraton College Park in Beltsville, Md.; Wednesday, Sept. 29, at the Westin Buckhead in Atlanta; and Thursday, Sept. 30, at the Hyatt Regency in Chicago.

Additional sessions are scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 5, at the Washington Athletic Club in Seattle; Wednesday, Oct. 6, at the Omni San Francisco Hotel in San Francisco; Tuesday, Oct. 12, at the Boston Harbor Hotel in Boston; Wednesday, Oct. 13 at the Kitano in New York City; and Thursday, Oct. 14, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.
