C&A Floorcoverings' Ethos backing by Tandus Technologies
C&A Floorcoverings has unveiled ethos, a high recycled-content cushion backing for 6-foot broadloom carpet and a soon-to-be-released version for modular tiles. Ethos was developed by Tandus Technologies.
Ethos is a non-chlorinated thermoplastic terpolymer created from reclaimed PVB film used in laminated safety glass. The backing contains 96 percent post-consumer recycled content. C&A employs the Infinity Initiative, its existing closed-loop recycling process, to manufacture and recycle Ethos.
