Award Hardwood Floors introduced its new Master’s Touch hardwood flooring line during the company’s annual distributor conference in Wausau, Wis. Also during the event, Eagan, Minn.-based McKee Floor Covering was named recipient of the company’s President’s Award of Excellence for aggressive merchandising efforts and sales growth.

The initial rollout of Master’s Touch includes three products -- Antique Plank, Time Worn Plank and Majestic Plank -- consisting of 14 SKUs in 6-inch widths in antique, time-worn colors. The line features Award’s Wearmax advanced ceramic finish, lifetime finish and structural warranty, and the Natural Fit Glueless locking system. Master’s Touch Stair Step, a new display system that incorporates more than one-dozen 18-inch-square samples with reversible graphic header for island or wall use, also was unveiled.

The Antique Plank product, a floor styled to capture the feel and appearance of original character conditioned over time, comes in six colors. Time Worn Plank, which mimics a hand-processed look, is available in four colors. The Majestic Plank collection includes Red Oak Plank, Maple Plank, Mountain Hickory and Brazilian Hickory. All three products come in 69-inch lengths with beveled edges and feature a three-ply HDF core. The products, which are scheduled to begin shipping this month, will be displayed during Surfaces 2003.
