Fran O'Neill, co-founder and vp sales for Antrim Carpets, has retired. O'Neill along with Dan McGovern founded Antrim in 1997. O'Neill started as a salesman for carpeting manufacturer Beatty Carpet in the early '70s, before joining Karastan and rising through the ranks to become exec vp sales and marketing, residential. He has also worked as sr. vp sales and marketing for resilient maker Congoleum.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed my almost forty years in the flooring industry, and I am very grateful for the many terrific friends that I have made over the years. I now look forward to a new phase of my life,” O'Neill said upon announcing his retirement.

When Stanton Carpet purchased Antrim two years ago, O'Neill was "an instrumental part of transitioning the sales staff, and continued to grow business across the country and in canada," according to Stanton.

Jonathan Cohen, Stanton's COO, said his company was grateful for O'Neill's "long and successful career," adding, “We sincerely appreciate all Fran has accomplished for our company in this short time period but can also fully appreciate and respect his decision to retire and spend more time with his family,”
