Columbia Flooring said it will market a line of hardwood and laminate flooring under the Laura Ashley Home label. The company plans to unveil more than 50 designer products in the new line at Surfaces 2006, exhibit 4029.

Columbia's president David Wootton said the licensing deal aligns his company with "one of the most recognized brands in the world." He added that the name is "associated with quality and integrity."

Columbia said the ongoing deal will bring a range of new products including solid and engineered hardwoods in traditional and exotic species, as well as hand-sculpted and wide-plank designs, which will be offered in several distinctive finishes. New laminate offerings will include 8- and 9mm planks in a range of wood grains, slates and hand-sculpted looks.

Ivy Tan, SVP of Laura Ashley Inc. said the deal will "provide customers with another reason to choose Laura Ashley for their home décor needs."

The Laura Ashley name has been licensed for a range of household and apparel products and includes flooring selections from Beaulieu and Mohawk, as well as stone tile supplier StoneXpress.
