Anso's ‘Harvest of Color' fall promo reaps record No. of dealers
Lured by a number of new incentives, more than 1,600 dealer locations are set to participate in Anso Nylon's "Harvest of Color," carpet sale, set to run Sept.1 - Oct. 15. The figure is the highest number of participants in the four-year history of the event and represents a jump of 45 percent over last year, according to Anso manufacturer, Honeywell Nylon which is coordinating the promotion
"Past success of the Anso Nylon National Carpet Sale has allowed us to increase incentives for our participating dealers as a way potentially to generate more in-store traffic and higher sales volume," said Ann Merino, Honeywell Nylon merchandising and brand marketing manager.
Incentives this year include a sweepstakes that will award five retail salespeople a cruise to either the Caribbean or Alaska. Also, participating Anso Advantage Account (AAA) dealers will receive a 50 percent co-op bonus on purchases of styles made with Anso Nylon during the sale. Dealer marketing support initiatives include pre-approved newspaper, radio and television ads, consumer direct mail and point-of-purchase materials designed to draw stroe traffic.
Consumers purchasing carpet made with Anso Nylon during the sale are eligible for rebates up to $50 at participating retail locations.
Honeywell's effort to promote the event to consumers includes the involvement of the home and garden website, HGTV.com. By clicking on the "Harvest of Color" banner ads, consumers can download a rebate coupon, find dealers in their area and order a free copy of Honeywell Nylon's "Designing with Carpet." The sale is also being promoted on Ansonylon.com where consumers will be able to receive all of the sale information, including the rebate coupon.
