Rug maker Saravieh has signed an agreement with Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia (MSLO) to launch a line of Martha Stewart area rugs. Plans call for the distinctive floor coverings, which will complement the existing Martha Stewart Signature furniture line, to debut at the Atlanta International Area Rug Market in January 2007 and be ready for retail in Spring 2007.

"Safavieh is thrilled to create a rug program that can be coordinated with MSLO's well-made, beautifully designed furniture and sold to furniture stores and upscale floor coverings dealers," said Arash Yaraghi, co-president of Safavieh. "Consumers will get the best of Martha Stewart's style and taste and the quality the industry expects from Safavieh."

Martha Stewart rugs will be offered in a wide range of sizes and styles, including handmade and machine-made area rugs, as well as wire-loom rugs. Saravieh said it expected the rugs to retail from $200 to $3,000 and above.
