Dalton, Ga.-based troubleshooting and consulting firm LGM Technical Carpet Services has expanded. To keep pace with demand, Lew Migliore, president and owner of the company, has launched LGMTCS & Associates with the help of industry veterans Benny Wood and Sim Crisler.
Wood, an adhesives expert and chemist, is the former president of Advanced Adhesive Technologies. Crisler, a field expert in modular tile and patterned carpet, has 33 years of experience at Milliken as well as a chemistry degree. These experts will lend their experience to help troubleshoot "wood, vinyl, ceramic, laminate substrates and anything to do with floor covering materials and associated products," said Migliore.
Plans also call for the expanded business to offer accreditation programs to aid carpet inspectors, retail salespeople and other professionals in troubleshooting and claims management. "One of our primary focuses will be on education" of the industry, Migiliore said.
