As part of its 50th birthday celbration, Laticrete International expressed its gratitude to clients and business partners with a three-day excursion at the Isle of Capri, Italy. The ceramic and stone company’s guests from around the world converged for a festival of traditional dinners and entertainment in the resort island just off the west coast of Italy.  Officials from Laticrete, which has a presence in more than 65 countries, were on hand at the event to show their commitment to long-lasting business partnerships.

Tim Tan, of Concrete Connections PTE in Singapore agreed. “Coming from a tiny nation, we feel privileged to be part of a global family company that brings together its many years of knowledge, experience, integrity, professionalism and camaraderie. This is hard to find in today’s construction world.”

David Rothberg, Laticrete’s CEO and son of its founder, Dr. Henry Rothberg, delivered a theatric speech dressed as a Roman soldier. “The son of an immigrant, Dr. Henry Rothberg worked his way through university as a tile setter in rural South Carolina, helped by good people along the way in finding his manufacturing firm,” Rothberg said. “And while others have sold out, gone corporate and forgotten their roots, the Rothberg family works hard every day to earn and keep the confidence placed in them.”
