Laticrete celebrates expansion of facility in Bethany, Conn.

Rather than uproot from its home of 30 years, Laticrete International Inc. has opted for a major expansion to its Bethany, Conn.-based plant. When completed, the new facilities will comprise 32,000 sq. ft. of corporate offices and 110,965 sq. ft. of manufacturing and warehousing space, more than tripling the size of the existing facility.  The company says the project was undertaken to meet continued growing demand for its products.

“Bethany has been our base for three decades,” said Laticrete CEO David Rothberg. “We love the quality of life here, and local officials have helped keep our business in the town that we are proud to call home.”

A ground – breaking ceremony was held recently celebrating the $20 million plant expansion. In attendance was chairman emeritus Dr. Henry M. Rothberg, who founded Laticrete in 1956, with his two sons and co-owners, David and Henry B. Rothberg. In addition, Laticrete vp of operations JB Bouldin and local officials were on hand to celebrate.
