"Our goal has always been to design and manufacture products that were both beautiful and environmentally sustainable," said Anthony Minite, Bentley Prince Street president. "We hope this objective third-party certification will both help and encourage the marketplace to identify and choose products that protect our planet's natural resources."
Additionally, the City of Industry, Calif.-based company launched a new standard backing for its broadloom products. Called High PerformancePC, the backing is made using mineral residue produced as a byproduct from the post-consumer paper recycling industry. According to Bentley Prince Street, the resulting backing is both extremely durable and environmentally friendly.
