Temperatures are cooling this fall but Formica Flooring is heating up the industry with the launch of its new Mirabella collection.  With an elegant, semi-piano and random-pitted finish, Mirabella premium flooring adds an elegant, timeless look to any room.  Mirabella’s micro-beveled edges and long, narrow planks measuring 54.33” x 4.45” create the look of an authentic hardwood floor.

“Certainly the talk of the industry are the rustic hand scraped finishes, but there is a sizeable market out there for products with a more casual elegance and clean finish,” said Tim Tipton, Kronotex USA Director of Marketing and Product Development.  “We certainly believe we’ve achieved this with Mirabella.”

Mirabella’s luxurious 10mm thick planks are effortless to install and maintain, and come with a 30-year residential warranty. The premium Mirabella collection is made up of eight product SKUs: Metropolitan Walnut, Virginia Walnut, Brazilian Chestnut, Larissa Chestnut, Ava Plum, Ethan Plum, Swiss Pear and Brazilian Mahogany.

This summer Formica Flooring introduced the Cordelia collection, which became an instant hit with distributors and retailers.  Cordelia’s 8mm thick planks feature a soft-sculpted finish you’d expect from a craftsman using genuine timbers. Each two-strip plank has straight edges and measures 50.79” x 7.6”.

The Cordelia collection is made up of six product SKUs: Figured Amendoim, Sedona Amendoim, Sierra Oak, Tuscan oak, Honey Spice Hickory and Estate Hickory.  Planks are installed easily with FormiLock™ technology and carry a 25-year residential warranty.

Formica Flooring has three other flooring collections:  Super premium Quintessa, with hand-scraped textures and 12mm thick planks; High quality yet affordable Arianna, with realistic textured grains and 8mm thick planks; and expertly crafted Sienna, with the look of stonework and 8mm thick planks.

Kingston Plus laminate flooring, an opening price point item, is a new pad-attached product that cuts installation time in half with no need for a separate underlayment pad.  The 4mm thick pad attached to the 7mm thick board significantly reduces footfall noise and provides thermal insulation.  The product is environmentally friendly and cuts down on waste, since the pad-attached product means there will never be overrun of underlayment.  Kingston Plus comes with a 15-year residential warranty and is available in five popular colors: Norwegian Wood, Brazilian Cherry, Prairie Maple, Rain Forest Cherry and Nutmeg Oak.

Due to licensing agreements with Formica Corp, Kingston Plus is not a Formica Flooring branded product. In order to keep the brand elevated to the premium level, products must be 8mm or thicker to be marketed under the Formica Flooring name.
