The World Floor Covering Association has launched
www.wfca-pro.org, a site for flooring professionals designed to offer “industry
information, news, updates and advice for the professional.” Both WFCA members
and the general public can access the site, though certain sections are locked
for members only.
Chris Davis, president and CEO of
the WFCA, said creating the site was a natural addition for the trade group.
“It’s our job to foster the growth of the industry and provide our members with
the tools necessary to succeed, so creating a portal with everything a
professional needs to run a successful business was a natural for us,” he said.
Patterned partly after the group’s
successful www.wfca.org consumer site, the
new website includes a Member Search that allows users to locate a wide range
of flooring businesses and services and an industry calendar focused on listing
“every major and minor event” through the third quarter of 2009.
Special members only sections
include a Document Center offering “information, papers, newsletters and
articles for the professional,” access to membership and trade scholarship
applications, and a forum for users “to post and discuss issues, ideas and
concerns affecting the market.” Additionally, the WFCA’s wide range of market research
studies and surveys, as well as the Financial Management Report, are available.
