Hardwood industry veterans open new company, Baker's Creek
Engineered hardwood flooring maker
Baker’s Creek has opened its doors in Edwards, Miss., a town about 30 miles west
of Jackson. The plant will produce “premium-quality engineered wood flooring
for higher-end markets,” the company said.
Baker’s Creek was founded by industry veteran B. Shannon Fuller and Southern attorney Richard M. Lingle. Prior to forming Baker’s Creek, the two partners turned around the struggling Capella Engineered Wood brand, launching products “which set the pace for the development of 3/4” engineered hardwood flooring in the United States,” the company noted.
The company’s products include Walnut, Pecan, Heart of Pine, Cypress, American Cherry, Maple and Mesquite floors, and will be available for purchase “in the first part of 2008.” For more information, visit www.bakerscreekfloors.com.
