Brooks Mancini

Brooks T. Mancini, a commercial contractor with 47 years of experience, has been named chairman of the board of the World Floor Covering Association. He succeeds Donny Phillips, who becomes immediate past chairman following Robert Hill.

Mancini said he plans to focus on promotional efforts to increase web traffic to the trade group’s www.wfca.org website. Specifically, he said the WFCA will heavily promote the dealer locator tool, with an eye toward directing consumers to WFCA-affiliated dealers. Additionally, he noted that his group will offer continued support to the Floor Covering B2B Association, which seeks to broaden B2B usage and adopt industry-wide technological standards.

“Having been involved on the WFCA Executive Committee for many years, I know the importance of the initiatives currently underway, and they are well worth continued support and enhancement,” he said. “My focus as chairman will be to bring additional value to WFCA members as effectively and efficiently as possible.”

The WFCA also elected several new executives to its board of directors. They are: Nick Freadreacea (The Flooring Gallery, Louisville, Ky.) and Paul F. Johnson (Interiors One-Carpet One, Tulsa, Okla.) as vice chairmen; Scott Steel (My Flooring America, Webster, Texas) as treasurer/CFO; and Jim Walters (Macco’s Floor Covering Center, Green Bay, Wis.) as corporate secretary. D. Christopher Davis continues as the WFCA’s president and CEO.
