Who to Watch in 2009: WarmStep® - Versatile for Laminate and Tile

January 20, 2009
Another ThermoSoft® innovation simplifies electric floor heating!  Until now, flooring dealers and contractors had to worry about having the right system for the right floor covering.  Not anymore.

InstAlarm™ is available to help insure a trouble-free install

Another ThermoSoft® innovation simplifies electric floor heating!  Until now, flooring dealers and contractors had to worry about having the right system for the right floor covering.  Not anymore.  WarmStep® from Thermosoft International Corporation is specially designed for installation not only under the usual floor coverings: ceramic tile, marble, porcelain and stone, it can also be installed under all types of laminate, engineered wood and wood floors.

WarmStep is particularly advantageous when the job calls for heating multiple flooring types.  But what’s so incredibly innovative about WarmStep is that when it’s installed under floating laminate floors, NO CEMENT IS REQUIRED!

WarmStep saves installation cost.  Most radiant floor heating systems must be imbedded in cement mortar before laying laminate and other floating floors.  Not WarmStep!  WarmStep is installed above the underlayment pad and directly under floating laminate, engineered wood or wood floors - without cement!  What’s more, even with floor coverings that install with cement, such as ceramic tile, WarmStep’s less than .08” (2mm) thin heating cable minimizes floor height and the amount of cement used!

WarmStep reduces installation time.  Some electric radiant floor heating systems must be custom fit which is very expensive.  Other systems come in static lengths and widths so they don’t easily fit the dimensions of the floor causing cold spots in and around the floor.  Still other systems require step-down transformers and making complicated electrical splice connections on-site.  Not WarmStep!  WarmStep’s standard sizes can be stocked for easy on-site fitment to any floor.  WarmStep’s heating cable is factory mounted on rolls of fiberglass mesh which can be rolled out and the mesh can be cut so that WarmStep can be turned in any direction to fit the floor.  No on-site splice connections or special tools are necessary.  The factory-attached, hermetically sealed lead wires connect to standard household Voltage. Both 120V and 240V systems are available.

WarmStep installs on virtually any subfloor and under any floor covering.  WarmStep is so versatile that this one system can meet the heating demands of almost any floor.  Besides being ideally suited for all the floor coverings mentioned, WarmStep can even be installed under carpet, vinyl tile and glued down floors under a layer of self-leveling cement.

WarmStep insures contractor and installer peace-of-mind.  WarmStep’s construction-grade fiberglass mesh provides an anti-fracture membrane that strengthens and prevents floor cracks in ceramic tile and other cementious floors.  Thermosoft also provides installers an InstAlarm®monitor that helps insure a trouble–free installation.

WarmStep saves energy.  Besides providing affordable luxury with all the comfort and health advantages of radiant warm floors (no drafts, no blowing pollutants and allergens) homeowners can save energy up to 40% using WarmStep and its Energy Star programmable floor thermostat.

Thermosoft International Corporation is a leading USA manufacturer of UL and ETL listed electric radiant floor heating systems that are simple to install and affordable. Over 1 million households in the USA and Canada enjoy Thermosoft’s radiant heating products. Same day shipping, lifetime warranty and lifetime technical support is provided.  For more information about how your business can benefit from one floor heating system for every application, visit www.warmstep.com or call 800-308-8057. -- Russ Dunn
