Exhibitors were “pleased with the quality leads and inquiries that were generated” because the opportunity to spend additional time with prospects and existing customers is invaluable.

While the final registered attendance figure for Coverings 2009 totaled 22,000, the show’s organizers say a predictable decline in attendees reflected the economic turndown.

However, exhibitors say they were “pleased with the quality leads and inquiries that were generated” because the opportunity to spend additional time with prospects and existing customers was invaluable.

“Admittedly, there was some uncertainty and skepticism going into the show,” said Glenn Feder, president of client events for National Trade Productions, which manages and produces Coverings. “But, what we’re hearing repeatedly from our exhibitors and guests is that Coverings was totally up to par and exceeded their expectations. We’re confident that as the housing market rebounds in 2010, Coverings will reflect this uptrend, as well, and there’s enthusiasm for the return of the show to Orlando next year.”

According to Feder, the breadth of co-sponsorships and involvement of industry trade associations significantly helped seal the deal on Coverings.

“Our partners were committed and aggressive in reaching out to their constituents about the value of Coverings, and their time and effort paid off,” said Feder. Coverings 2010 is set for April 27-30 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL.
