Orchid Ceramics said its products have been GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certified by the GREENGUARD Environmental Institute. The certification signifies the company's ceramic floor, wall and porcelain products meet the strict requirements for low chemical emissions in homes, businesses and commercial buildings. Additionally, Orchid noted its products "meet the rigorous standards required for the GREENGUARD Children and Schools certification, which complies with the State of California's requirements for low-emitting materials used in schools and healthcare facilities."

"There are a lot of companies in the industry that promote products and environmental logos claiming to be ecologically friendly, but then do not back these claims with any type of substance or unbiased verification from independent agencies," said Brian McKeown, product manager for Orchid Ceramics, "We have been working with agencies like GREENGUARD and the Porcelain Tile Certification Agency to back up all our data."
