An Atlanta Home Show attendee recently walked away with a marriage proposal, and houseful of new Bliss carpet. Heather Moody, an attorney for the Georgia senate, was proposed to by her then boyfriend Skip Breeden, only to be followed a couple of hours later as the winner of Bliss Healthy Home carpet’s drawing.

Sharon Edwards, owner of Atlanta Flooring Resource & Design (the Bliss retailer that partnered with Beaulieu of America at the event) discovered the love story associated with the carpet award. Bliss by Beaulieu marketing folks were captivated. And the future mother-in-law ended up being the true winner.

Ms. Moody, an attorney for the Georgia senate and fiancé Skip Breeden, also an attorney, decided to gift Skip’s mom with all the carpet since she is in the process of renovating her 23-year old home and their nuptials are still a year away. “I love the quiet and softness of carpet,” said Cathy Breeden with Bliss Healthy Home samples clutched in hand. “We’re re-carpeting all our upstairs bedrooms as a result.” Will Bliss start promising a new husband with the purchase of carpet? “Probably not,” mused Edwards, “but it’d be pretty cool if they could.”
