Mannington Mills announced today that Russell Grizzle has joined the company as chief operating officer. Grizzle will serve as COO until the end of 2011, when he will take over for current president and CEO Tom Davis, who is retiring.

“In preparation for my retirement at the end of next year, [Grizzle] and I will work closely to assure continuity during that time,” Davis said. “We are excited to have [Grizzle] join our already outstanding management team, and appreciate the insight and enthusiasm he brings. He not only has broad and deep experience in the flooring industry, but also shares Mannington’s core values and passion for product innovation.”

Grizzle has over 30 years of industry experience with Milliken & Co., including eight years as president of the company's global floor covering business. He holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program. He and his wife, Janice, have two grown children. They plan to relocate from Georgia to near Mannington’s headquarters in southern New Jersey.
