BASF to increase prices on chemicals
Effective July 1, BASF is increasing its off-list prices in North America by $0.14 per pound for butanediol (BDO), tetrahydrofuran (THF), gamma-butyrolactone (GBL), and N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP). Off-list prices for Polytetramethylene ether glycol (PolyTHF) will increase by $0.20 per pound.
Butanediol and its derivatives are used for producing engineering plastics, polyurethanes, solvents, electronic chemicals and elastic fibers.
