Shaw Industries has signed an agreement with LG Hausys to become the sole distributor of LG Hausys commercial resilient flooring in the United States and Canada. LG Hausys is Korea’s largest building and decorative material company, with two resilient flooring manufacturing facilities in Cheong-Ju and Ul-San, Korea.

“This partnership will enhance and balance Shaw’s commercial hard surface offering to include hardwood, ceramic, porcelain, laminate, and now resilient flooring,” said Tim Baucom, Shaw’s vp commercial sales and marketing. “Shaw’s entrance into resilient will allow us to apply our sustainability through innovation practices to transform this growing product category.”

The two LG Hausys plants located in Korea are ISO-14001 and ISO-9001 facilities. LG Hausys offers 350 commercial SKUs with post-consumer recycled content, FloorScore certification for Indoor Air Quality by SCS Labs, and USGBC LEED green building system contributions, according to LG Hausys.

Dave Thoresen, exec vp LG Hausys Floors, will be joining Shaw to manage the commercial resilient business, reporting to Steve DeCarlo, vp commercial business development. The partnership is set to launch in June.
