Amtico International has announced that it will discontinue the sale of its Stratica product, a PVC-free flooring that was introduced in the UK and European markets in 1997 and the United States in 1998. The company said the decision is in response to a decline in market demand for the product.

"The de-listing of Stratica is allowing us to increase capacity at our plants to fulfill the demand for our USA-made Amtico and Spacia brands," Emory Hill, Amtico/Stratica product manager, toldNFT. "This decision will not impact jobs at our manufacturing facility in Madison, Ga., or finishing operations in Conyers, Ga."

Amtico said that Stratica product warranties for existing customers will continue to be honored, but no new orders will be accepted after April 1.
