On Sept. 17th, Mr. David’s Flooring International, Ltd., based in Chicago, Ill. and fellow industry members, hosted the 3rd Annual Mr. David’s Bike Challenge. The 50k Challenge hosts competitive cyclists as well as amateur riders, both industry members and neighbors in the community.

The event has grown each year-riders of all ages and ability completed the race in times ranging from 1:34 to 3:22 in 2011. In addition to riders, the Mr. David’s Bike Challenge also boasts countless volunteers at the event, from local distributors, flooring manufacturers, bike shops, and interested members in the community.

This year’s charity ride benefited the Alexian Brothers Foundation, a healthcare organization in the Chicago area. Alexian’s mission is holistic, extending care and support beyond hospital walls to achieve personal connections with patients. Challenge organizers welcomed the participation of enthusiastic volunteers from Alexian Brothers, who were overwhelmed by the dedication and generosity of the participants.  Though final calculations won’t be announced until December, as of race day, the total raised is near the $50,000 goal.
