The North American Association of Floor Covering Distributors (NAFCD) is seeking nominations from its members for the 2011 NAFCD Leadership in Action Award and Lifetime Achievement Award, as well as for the 2012 NAFCD Board of Directors.

All three nomination processes represent opportunities to recognize leaders in the floor covering industry. While the Leadership in Action and Lifetime Achievement awards distinguish people for their achievements, serving on the NAFCD Board of Directors provides the chance to play a leadership role in the coming year.

“The Lifetime Achievement award recognizes leaders whose efforts have benefited both their own companies and the overall floor covering industry,” said Bob Wagner, NAFCD president. “In addition, NAFCD is also proud to identify and recognize future leaders through our Leadership in Action Award. We look forward to celebrating the 2011 recipients contribution to the industry during our Annual Meeting on Nov. 9, at our conference in Nashville.”

The Leadership in Action Award winner’s company will also receive recognition for its role in facilitating the awardee’s efforts. Nominations for both awards will be accepted through Sept. 15, and the winners will be announced at the 2011 NAFCD Distributor Marketplace, taking place Nov. 8-10, in Nashville. Members also have until Sept. 15, to nominate a colleague or themselves to be considered for the 2011-2012 NAFCD Board of Directors. Terms begin in November.

“NAFCD’s leadership is critical for the industry as we navigate through the changes and uncertainty of this economic period,” said David Williams, incoming NAFCD president. “We are looking forward to providing our members with the resources necessary to succeed. NAFCD Directors have the opportunity to apply their wisdom and energy to the entire floor covering industry. With strong leaders, we can position our members for success in any climate.”
