More than 50 American companies, representing over 1,400 jobs in the U.S., have signed up to join the Alliance for Free Choice and Jobs in Flooring (www.ChoiceandJobs.com), according to Jonathan Train, president of the AFCJF.

“Over 20 companies signed up on the spot at the National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) annual meeting last week and dozens of other companies took membership agreements to send in later,” he noted. “New members include domestic manufacturers like Graf Brothers and Missouri Hardwoods, accessory suppliers like WOCA Oils, and the shipping company FMS Logistics, who all recognize that an open market benefits the entire industry. We welcomed certified inspectors, national distributors, and local retailers to the Alliance and expect to continue to grow over the next few months.”

The Alliance is opposing antidumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) penalties on imported multilayered flooring from China.
