Atlanta Rug Market to feature educational events
The Atlanta International Area Rug Market, set for July 14-17 at AmericasMart, will feature new area rug collections at The Area Rug Center located on floors 3-6 in Building One. A series of rug industry events and educational programs will also be offered.
They include: "Mix-Amize Profits with Area Rugs," 11 a.m. to noon Thursday, July 14 in Building 1, floor 4, Room 4-B-1. A presentation by Andy Fried, business consultant at Kennesaw State University, will demonstrate how the proper pricing tactics and strategies for area rugs can drive profits and are easy to implement.
"The Oriental Rug Importers Association (ORIA) CF Rug Auction" to benefit ORIA Charitable Fund, during market hours in Building 1, floor 4, Room 4-B-1. View more than 20 rugs donated by ORIA members, all of which are open for bid July 13 through July 15.
"Demystifying Area Rugs," Friday, July 15 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Join the panel discussion with four area rug manufacturers.
"Knot to be Missed," Saturday, July 16 from 10 to 11:30 a.m., which will feature a presentation by Phil Menendian geared toward helping members pass the CRA exam.
