Schattdecor's City Collection of flooring decor products.

Flooring decor supplier Schattdecor showcased its “City Collection” theme of woodgrain colors, inspired by the cities of the U.S., at Surfaces 2012 in Las Vegas.

For the collection, Schattdecor designer Mark Smith looked closely at four regions of the United States. He found that out west in cities like Portland and Seattle, emphasis is placed on "Repurposing the Past." Cities in the Midwest like Chicago and St. Louis are a bit more conservative and the trends lean more toward "Handcrafted Artifacts." The "Refinished Loft" is a theme referring to the refined, linear urban look and gray-brown colors of East coast cities like New York City and Boston. Finally, the eclectic Art Deco looks of cities in the South like Miami and New Orleans give a "Unique Sophistication."

The Schattdecor team invited customers to a hospitality suite at the Mandalay Bay for their latest presentation. They also met with customers in a booth space on the show floor this year. Visitors had the opportunity to see over 40 new flooring decors, including 24 of the company’s latest developments.

In 2011, Schattdecor saw the opening of new facilities in Russia, Turkey, and the U.S. The production facility in St. Louis celebrated its grand opening on June 21, 2011, with nearly 200 customers, guests, friends, family, and co-workers in attendance.
