Custom builders across the nation are invited to enter the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) 2011 Custom Home Builder of the Year Award competition, sponsored by the Propane Education & Research Council.

Each year, the NAHB Custom Home Builder of the Year Award recognizes the professional achievement of one builder who creates exceptional and innovative custom homes, exhibits a high level of customer service, and demonstrates impactful leadership and dedication within their company, the industry and local community.

"The NAHB Custom Home Builder of the Year Award showcases superior talent and commitment to the custom building industry," said Ernie Platt, Director of Local Government Affairs for the HBA of Metro Portland and Custom Home Builder Committee Chair. "From design to construction, business practices to philanthropy, NAHB recognizes custom building at its finest."

The winner will be honored at a luncheon held at the 2012 NAHB International Builders' Show, Custom Building Center on Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. The builder selected for the yearly award will be featured in national trade magazines and NAHB publications to promote their success and achievement.

"Winning a prestigious national award, such as the NAHB Custom Home Builder of the Year for 2010, not only enhanced our company's reputation, but served as a tribute to our entire team," said Peter Polhemus of Polhemus Savery DaSilva, Inc.
