TORLYS Inc. has introduced a new iPad app specifically designed to assist retail salespeople in Canada with closing more sales of TORLYS smart floors.

The TORLYS smart app will provide not only easily understood features and benefits of its floors, but also a fun and interactive color and design feature, according to the company. The consumer selects a preferred color palette, and the app then recommends a selection of TORLYS floors that suits the colour palette according to good/better/best price points.

Also included in the TORLYS smart app is the TORLYS difference feature – an instant calculator that allows the retail salesperson to clearly show the many benefits of purchasing a TORLYS smart floor in monetary terms.

“Retail training is an ongoing process, but we think we have created an easily adaptable tool for the retail salesperson to use with consumers,” said Peter Barretto, president and CEO. “It has the ‘cool’ factor – it’s not only extremely fun and easy-to-use, it brings technology and innovation to the sometimes arduous process of understanding what the consumer is looking for and selling her the right flooring that best fits with her design-sense and budget.”

Introduced in a series of retail Discovery Tours across Canada, the response from the introduction of the TORLYS smart app has been extremely positive with a very high sign-up rate for the iPad that is loaded with the TORLYS smart app, according to the company.

The TORLYS smart app is scheduled to roll out at retailers across Canada this summer.
