Dutch manufacturer Bolefloor is bringing a remarkably different type of hardwood floor to the U.S. -- one whoseplanks sport organic curves instead of the usual straight edges. Previously available only in Europe, Bolefloor is to premiere here this spring. The company touts not only the aesthetic beauty but also the environmental advantages: Compared with traditional milling processes, the curved edges allow 20% more of each sawed plank to be used.
