The Hospice of Crawford County, Inc, a Pennsylvania-based not-for-profit, is the winner of $10,000 in Stainmaster carpet, thanks to Flooring America and Flooring Canada. The donation was awarded upon the completion of the floor buying group’s Improve Your Home, Improve Your Hometown contest, which asked local Flooring America and Flooring Canada stores and their communities to compete for votes on behalf of a charity or non-profit in their area.
For garnering the most votes in the contest, Hospice of Crawford County, Inc., located in Meadville, PA will receive the carpet, which they will then use to turn an area home into a new Hospice House. The carpet will be delivered and installed by Foulk’s Flooring America, Meadville’s local Flooring America store, who partnered and campaigned with Hospice of Crawford County Inc. for the duration of the contest.
“We truly believe that locally owned and operated small businesses are what make our communities great,” says Frank Chiera, Vice President of Marketing at Flooring America. “The Improve Your Home, Improve Your Hometown Contest was just one way for us to show the nation that when you invest in local business, you’re investing in your community.”
Hospice of Crawford County, Inc. would seem to agree.
“Winning the contest for $10,000 worth of Stainmaster floor covering from Foulk’s Flooring America is just one example of how the people of Crawford County have supported Hospice and the Hospice House,” says Michael Downing, CEO of Hospice of Crawford County, Inc. “We could not provide the quality of care that we do for our community without [their] ongoing support.”
