The National Association of Home Builders' (NAHB) Building Systems Councils (BSC) is now accepting applications for the "Jerry Rouleau Awards for Excellence in Marketing and Home Design, presented by the BSC and Log Homes Council." The annual awards recognize manufacturers and builders who excel in systems-built technologies (i.e., concrete, log, modular and panelized homes) in the categories marketing materials and home design, which is broken down into various square-footage classes.

"These highly anticipated awards honor exceptional achievement in our industry, saluting the finest in technology-driven and systems-built home manufacturing and construction," said BSC Chairman Dwight Hikel, president and CEO of Westminster, Md.-based Shelter Systems Limited, a panelized home component manufacturer. "The criteria are tough, but we are sure to see some innovative projects as the systems-built industry continues to respond to the wants and needs of today's consumer and grow in popularity."

The awards are open to BSC members and NAHB builder members using building systems. Previous award winners have covered the spectrum of housing, from diminutive cabins to extravagant estates, and manufacturers have showcased their work in every medium, from interactive and informative websites to glossy, inspirational marketing booklets.

The award recipients will be announced at a ceremony on Oct. 2, 2012, during the BSC's Showcase24 event (http://www.nahb.org/showcase24) at the NAHB National Housing Center in Washington, DC.

Entries must be postmarked by Sept. 3, 2012. Information on applications, payment and all other materials can be found here: www.nahb.org/bscawards2013. For additional questions, please contact the BSC staff at bsc@nahb.org or 800-368-5242 x8576.
