MAPEI, a manufacturer of tile and stone installation systems, introduced Kerapoxy CQ, a new epoxy grout containing quartz, at Coverings 2012. The “ultimate tile and stone experience” was the ideal setting for the presentation of this new addition to MAPEI’s epoxy grout line. Joining the company’s family of Kerapoxy, Kerapoxy IEG and Opticolor grout products, Kerapoxy CQ brings to the mix the same fine qualities of the MAPEI epoxy grout family as well as the ability to deliver full, flush grout joints.

The nature of the quartz aggregate used in Kerapoxy CQ makes it is easier than ever for installers to remove grout from the surface of tile during application. The reduced amount of residue and film present after grout application makes cleanup extremely easy. “We work continuously to innovate our products according to the latest research available, and we think the advancements formulated into Kerapoxy CQ make it a winner,” said Brian Pistulka, Business Manager for MAPEI Americas’ Tile & Stone Installation Systems. “We expect that our customers will appreciate the advanced ‘cleanability’ and will prefer it to other epoxy grouts.”

Kerapoxy CQ has initially been designed in 8 select colors that will be available at MAPEI distributors’ locations in August. Contractors and installers can contact their local MAPEI sales representative for a demonstration.
