With more than 2,500 exhibiting companies across 34 product categories representing thousands of lines, the depth, breadth and quality of merchandise within the Temporary collections at AmericasMart Atlanta will be the most expansive ever this January.

The Temporaries are open Jan. 11-15, 2013 (Area Rug Jan. 11-13) during The Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market, Jan. 9-16, and The Atlanta International Area Rug Market featuring the National Oriental Rug Show (NORS)Jan. 10-13.

“We travel far and wide in pursuit of new creations from the most imaginative and innovative manufacturers,” said JoAnn Miller Marshall, executive vice president of Tradeshows at AmericasMart.  “We are constantly tracking and analyzing trends that help us identify emerging product sectors that will add value to retailers’ store offerings. Our goal is to assemble the ‘best of the best’ here in Atlanta so that retailers don’t have to do any of the cross-country leg work that we do to find product.”

HD Home continues to inspire buyers as the pre-eminent showcase for design-led, lifestyle home décor temporary exhibitors. The HD Home Preview Party on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2-6 p.m. on Building 1, Floor 1, Center Hall, offers the first opportunity to see some of the most highly regarded names in home furnishings in an elegant setting. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres and drinks while previewing a juried collection of the top design-driven home furnishings and décor anywhere. Among the prestigious vendors for January 2013: Amy Howard Home, Elaine Smith, Emporium Home, Jamie Young Co., French Heritage, Modern History, LowCountry Originals and Camilla House  Imports.

High Design LUXE, an exclusive extension of High Design, continues the momentum from last year with options ranging from the Tommy Mitchell Company’s gilded & painted tole flowers to Marigot’s sophisticated fine cotton and cashmere pajamas and robes. These items, in addition to luxury French perfumes, handmade, mouth-blown crystal, designer crocodile handbags & accessories, chic Lucite home décor pieces and contemporary nativity art await in High Design LUXE, Building 2 WestWing, Floor 1 lobby.

“Showing in Atlanta has been wonderful for us,” says Lynne Gilbert, CEO and designer of New York City-based Marigot, whose luxurious loungewear is sold by retailers from the East Coast to Texas to California.  “It’s the most fabulous market, and I get to see and talk to incredible customers.”

Gourmet LUXE continues to build momentum with the addition of Le Palais Des Thes, which creates and sells high-end tea.  Other Gourmet LUXE vendors include those showing specialty honey, handcrafted chocolates, specialty olive oils & vinegar, and other delicious LUXE temptations. Gourmet LUXE is located in the Building 2 WestWing, Floor 2 lobby.

Further extending the LUXE brand, Gardens LUXE will have its debut in January 2013 and will showcase design-oriented garden gifts & décor including luxurious handcrafted fire pits, contemporary patio décor, slate water features and planters, hanging & freestanding live plant walls and more. Gardens LUXE is located in Building 2 WestWing, Floor 4 lobby.

The wildly popular Made in America collection, which made its debutin January 2012, continues its rapid ascent with an expanded collection of gift and décor products that are manufactured in the United States using at least 70 percent component parts and materials produced within the United States. Located in an expanded area of Floor 2 in Building 3, January exhibits range from furniture and home décor to candles, jewelry, art and edibles, including Cardboard Safari, The Charleston Soap Chef, Cricket Forge, Darrellene Designs, Indianola Pecan House, Jacob’s Musical Chimes, Inc., Kringle Candle Co., Lizzy J’s, Rewined, Sea Bags, Inc., Second Nature, Urban Ashes and Wendell August Forge among many others.

At 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12, Joel Joseph, chairman of the Made in the USA Foundation, will lead a seminar called “Promoting Your Store as Made in the USA,” to teach retailers to capitalize on the opportunities to reach consumers searching for American-made products.

The Global Designs collection, composed of artisan-quality craft companies, literally brings the world to AmericasMart. Exhibitors from across the globe offer quality merchandise while emphasizing corporate altruism and culturally meaningful designs. Exhibitors include Marquet, high-quality décor, clothing and accessory items, and World Finds, which sells jewelry, accessories, knitwear, purses and holiday ornaments alongside a diverse array of other companies.

In Building 1, the Home Accents/Home Furnishings/Fine Linens collection on Floor 7 adds depth to the extensive home and décor lines carried throughout the buildings. New exhibitors include Designers Guild and Pomegranate in Fine Linens; and Mainly Baskets, Heather Fields Home and Garden and Poetic Wanderlust in Home Accents.
