Karndean Designflooring has expanded its Opus collection, a product range known for its fresh, modern styles. With the addition of these 18 new designs, the Opus collection now contains 37 unique and eye-catching designs that are perfect for both architects/interior designers and homeowners looking to create a clean, contemporary feel. The new stone colors in this collection emphasize Karndean’s largest tile size yet, while the new wood designs offer a distinguished palette of smooth, clean colors like never before.

The most notable highlights of this update are dark, stone metallics available in both a 6”x36” tile and an 18”x36” tile. The large, rectangular tile combined with the more narrow, plank-sized tile creates endless laying patterns and design possibilities. Additionally, all Opus colors have coordinating design strip options that can create a distinct, one-of-a-kind look.

Opus contains Karndean’s largest tiles, with the largest option being the new 18”x36” size.  Opus wood planks are available in a standard 6"x36" or 4”x36” size, or an extra large 9"x48" suitable for large, open plan homes or commercial spaces alike. While containing a wide range of light, mid and dark colors, Opus has a high concentration of gray floors, which is a popular color choice in both residential and commercial spaces.

With a 15 year residential, 10 year commercial warranty, the Opus collection is extremely durable and a perfect choice for high traffic areas. The wide range of tones and smooth surfaces combined with clean lines creates a modern yet simple feel.

“We are very excited about the expansion of our Opus collection, especially with the added metallic options being available in two different sizes.” said Michael Lang, Senior Marketing Manager at Karndean Designflooring.  “As a manufacturer of designflooring, we’re seeing that what was once exclusively commercial is now becoming increasingly on trend among the residential market.  These new products bring even more diversity to this line, providing our customers, both commercial and residential, with additional options when it comes to achieving a sleek, contemporary, modern look.”
