The gated resort community of Beaver Creek, Colo., boasts one of the most prestigious collections of private vacation residences in the country. Thanks to Custom Building Products and the work of tiling contractor partner Lambert Tile & Stone, one recent residential renovation stands as a model for others to follow.

Beaver Creek is a premier resort community outside of Vail near Avon, Colo. The high-end resort community comprises three villages, the main Beaver Creek Village, Bachelor Gulch, and Arrowhead to the west.  This community is the site of many exclusive residences with vacationers enjoying both winter skiing and summer golfing.

One of the residences is an expansive 7,000 sq. ft. home featuring eight bedrooms and eight bathrooms, including a suite with a separate entrance, nestled in the hillside with panoramic views of Vail Valley. Built using finishes including distressed woods and tumbled stones, the beautiful residence typifies what a mountain cabin should be.

While beautiful, the vacation residence was in need of an interior renovation to reflect the tastes of its new owner. Lambert Tile & Stone, an award-winning member of the National Tile Contractors Association based in Eagle, Colo., was selected to take on the renovation project.

Lambert Tile & Stone and its team of professionals were contracted to tile key parts of the kitchen, baths, mudroom, entries, utility and laundry rooms. Working with a series of rustic-looking tile designs selected by the homeowner and design team, Lambert Tile & Stone partnered with Custom Building Products to provide the tile installation system.

Delivering a stain-resistant grout was an important design criteria for the project.  While an epoxy grout was originally specified for the project, Lambert Tile & Stone worked with the designer and general contractor to embrace the use of CUSTOM’s new Fusion Pro® Single Component Grout.TM  Fusion Pro is a breakthrough technologically advanced product that is easy to spread and clean. This next-generation grout solution cures with exceptional hardness, similar to cement grouts, while delivering the superior color consistency and high stain resistance characteristics of epoxy grouts.

The results were flawless using the new high-performance CUSTOM Fusion Pro grout.  Appropriate for use with virtually all types of tiles and natural stone installations, Fusion Pro grout was the finishing touch to the natural stone and rustic accent tiles used in the bathrooms. It was also applied to finish the large-format tiles installed in the showers and on the floors. In the professional appliance kitchen, the grout complemented the ornate natural tiles and stone tiles used for the backsplash throughout the area.

Upon project completion, Lambert Tile & Stone was proud to showcase its work, which added to the beauty of the vacation residence and now equals the status of the premier community. The project also showcased the leading performance of CUSTOM Fusion Pro grout that will ensure the durability of the exquisite tile installation for years to come.
