Laticrete announced its joint auction of 12 world-class commissioned industry mosaic artists’ pieces with the Tile Contractors Association of America (TCAA), Ceramic Tile Distributor’s Association (CTDA) and the Tile Council of North America (TCNA) raised nearly $7,000 at Total Solutions Plus last month.

Held in conjunction with the 10th anniversary of Laticrete Spectralock Grout product line, 100% of the proceeds from the auction were donated to the TCAA scholarship fund and Ceramic Tile Education Foundation (CTEF) educational efforts.

“The spectacular mosaic art pieces developed for the joint auction clearly demonstrated how our  Spectralock Grout, utilizing our Dazzle additive, can help enhance an artist’s work,” said Ron Nash, Laticrete vice president of sales and marketing - North America. “Funding these scholarships is one way for us to give back to the tile industry.”

Laticrete, a Titanium sponsor of Total Solutions Plus, participated in several other events related to the show’s “Partners in Progress” theme and was one of 75 manufacturers to display in the table top exhibition. Attendees at the company’s “The Science Behind the Art” booth had the opportunity to learn more about Laticrete innovation and developments, dating back to its establishment in 1956.  In a second Laticrete booth, participants had the chance to play Plinko to win one of three iPad minis.

The three Strata_Mat Plinko  grand prize winners were:

  • Dennis McLennand, D & B Distributors
  • Donald Schovan, Turner Distributors
  • Anthony Jung, Jung Tile Services

Laticrete held a “state of the industry” breakfast for its customers and distributors to give them the opportunity to ask staff questions and to learn more about the company’s outlook for the industry in the upcoming year.

“We believe that Total Solutions Plus is a critical event for our customers and distributors because it allows them access to the latest in industry education and networking sessions with industry leaders,” added Nash. “We look forward to our continued participation next year.”
